At the dinner we had the chance to enjoy Scotty showing us few magic tricks and we really found out that even though he’s an old school player he still got few new tricks up to his sleeves.
After the dinner we arrived to the party where we had our own VIP booth. Our photographer joined as well and managed to get some great pictures from Scotty and the rest of the gang. After few hours it was time to get back to the hotel, get the last drink and prepare for the new day.
My English colleague Jonathan Deeley feels like a true Scotsman these days. He is not alone in Britain. When red-hot Scot Andy Murray is on fire, he brings all Britain together as a long-time suffering patient who has been without tennis treats forever and who suddenly sees the light and glorious candy.
I’ve been at Wimbledon a couple of times when Tim Henman did all his best to silence the critics and conquer SW19, but he never really made it poor Tim.
Murray, 22, reached the US Open final in 2008 and on Sunday he will be back in a Grand Slam final as the final show-down in Melbourne is around the corner. The Briton knocked out Marin Cilic 3-1 in set in his semi-final and has lost only a set on his way to the final.
Whatever the outcome, his Australian Open performance will add extra belief and interest at Wimbledon among the Britons. And if he makes it there this summer, well, I guess we all will feel a bit Scottish. After all, it was 74 years ago since Britain got a male Grand Slam singles champion.
Egypt or Algeria? Yes, it is time for the north African sides to battle it out again and at stake this time are a place in the final. Roger Milla has picked his winner but what does Expekt.com bookie Jonathan Deeley say? Listen to some African Cup of Nations wise-talk as he chats with Dan Vikman.

This week Scotty is teaming up with Expekt.com in London for the IGE Gaming conference. It’s a week full of seminars, shows, parties and the perfect place for people within the industry. Since the Prince of Poker is our pride of poker, he is of course joining the festivities.
We hope that the expekt team and Scotty are still in form for in the morning where they will appear at the LAC (London affiliate conference), which is the place to be for networking and idea sharing within igaming. During Friday evening Scotty will be warming up for his online tournament played on Saturday (18:00 CET) by playing a tournament with our affiliates and partners at a casino in London.
