After almost two days of play KJ Choi is in the lead tightly followed by this years British Open winner Louis Oosthuizen at -9 resp -7.

“Tiger Woods, You suck! God dammit!”

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

After two great opening rounds Tiger ran into some troubble on Saturday’s third round of the US Masters at Augusta National.

On the 6th hole, 172yds par 3, Tiger pulls the ball slightly to the left hand side of the green. Not a bad shot, but chasing from behind at -7 with 4 strokes to catch up to the leader Lee Westwood, Tiger could make no mistakes.

“Tiiiger Woooods…. YOU SUCK! GOD DAMMIT!” was heard loud and clear on yesterday’s live broadcast.

Tiger is currently on tied third place with K.J Choi at -8, four stroked behind leader Lee Westwood. Can Tiger catch up from behind and secure his 5th Masters title? I think so. Tiger, you don’t suck at all.

5 reasons why Tiger Woods will win the US Masters 2010

Friday, April 9th, 2010

I’ve been playing golf since the age of 14 playing tournaments on the Swedish amateur tour until a few years ago and am a massive golf fan. Although I now enjoy a few casual games I still watch the pro’s slugging it on PGA tour play.

It’s no surprise to anyone that I was crossing the island of Malta last night just to find a place showing the US Masters from Augusta – Tiger’s comeback to the PGA tour, would any true golf fan want to miss that?

After having seen the first 18-holes I’m convinced that Tiger will win the US Masters 2010, and here’s why:

1) Tiger shot a 68 in yesterday’s opening round, that’s his best opening score in the US Masters ever.

2) On the 9th hole Tiger hit the drive wild out to the left, forcing him to hit a hook low under the trees using probably a mid-iron and get it to stay on the green… Tiger’s ball ended 2-3m from the holes. Tiger is back!

3) Tigers shot a 68 (-4) with 3 putts just sweeping the hole, that’s a different play than Tom Watson’s 67 (-5) where he saved up-and-down on 5 straight holes on the back nine putting down noting only 10 puts (!!).

4) Tiger has been through a lot lately (leaving that discussion for another blog) putting him under insane pressure for his comeback. This is the longest break in history of any #1 ranked player since Ben Hogan returned to the tour after his car accident, still he comes back and shoots 68 (-4).

5) The crowd seems to be supoorting Tiger’s comeback. Tiger stated that the crowd hasn’t been this loud ever. Finally, Tiger just has to win and he knows its the only way he can get the discussion around his “brand” back on golf again.

Tiger Woods is coming back to the US Masters, will you back him at odds 5.00?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

Tiger Woods is back where he belongs this week, on the golf course. We pay five times the money if he wins US Masters, and 81 times the money if Tiger Woods makes a hole-in-one.

Tiger Woods comeback will be the biggest live TV sport event in the world so far, bigger than the Winter Olympics. Tiger will have all eyes on him. We pay 6.00 in odds if Tiger does not make the cut and 26 times the money if he should withdraw or being disqualified during the tournament.

Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els are the closest rivals according to the odds, but US Masters is packed with mega-players with for example Retief Goosen paying 26 times the money and Jim Furyk 34.00.

The TV rating will surely hit the roof since everyone is so intrigued about what has happened and how Tiger will perform, and how the crowd and other players will act.
