World Cup 2010, France vs South Africa, Mexico vs Uruguay, Nigeria vs South Korea, Greece vs Argentina [video]

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Our regular presenter of Inside Expekt Dan Vikman is in South Africa this week, and he witnessed Portugal’s fantastic 7-0 win against North Korea yesterday. In the meantime, Niklas Joelsson, one of the background staff members, will try to fill Dan Vikman’s big presenter boots ahead of this week’s matches.

In today’s program Niklas is joined by veterans Jonathan Deeley and Richie Sheridan, who talks about the possible scenarios in both Group A and Group B. Richie fancy the odds on Mexico to beat Uruguay at 3.85 in Group A and Jonathan is confused about all the different possibilities in Group B later on the day, while the “producer” Niklas Joelsson is just looking into his notes wondering how he ended up in this TV show :)

World Cup 2010, South Korea vs Greece, England vs USA and Argentina vs Nigeria [Video]

Friday, June 11th, 2010

Richie Sheridan states rule number one during the World Cup: Don’t get married! Get all your things done in time, but if you still have gardening works to do, make sure to do it when South Korea plays Greece. Richie says it will be the dullest match of the tournament.

The odds are obviously in favor to England when they face USA, question is what the score will be and if Wayne Rooney manage to keep his mouth shut.

Argentina comes armed with former super star striker Diego Armando Maradonna. We all know what he did for Argentina as a striker in Mexico ’86 – but can he coach?

Matches Saturday 12th June:

13.30  South Korea – Greece

16:00 Argentina – Nigeria

20.30 England – USA

For all our blog readers, post a comment with your prediction for the correct score for England – USA. The first correct posted prediction will be rewarded with €5 on his Expekt.com account.

Wednesday, January 20th, 2010

Egypt top the group and are through in top spot with 6pts already, Benin need a win to have any chance of qualifying. Meanwhile a disappointing Nigeria will want a convincing showing against Mozambique and secure their last 8 spot. Our Expekt.com ambassador, Roger Milla, backs Nigeria.

“Even if they have not shown much, Nigeria knows how to win important games. And here, the team has its back against the wall. Nigeria has experience and talent, and they will beat Mozambique”, says Milla to expekt.com.

Both favourites win for the first time in the African Cup of Nations

Monday, January 18th, 2010

With Ivory Coast cruising past a young Ghana side on Friday, those who have backed the favorites recent days are most probably happier now. Recently journalists have been calling and asking about the cup and the upsets at the start of tournament. Was something strange going on? No, not at all. It is quite clear that more and more African nations are learning to defend and play organized football in 90 minutes and I have a strong feeling that the favorites will rule from now.

I am quite certain that Cameroon will win on Sunday evening and Tunisia as well. Our own Roger Milla backs both to win and hopes to have a 100 percent strike rate in his tips this weekend after opting for a Nigeria and Egypt double. I was lucky myself, winning on a four-fold with Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday. Or maybe it was skill? Let us see what this Sunday brings
