Barcelona vs Real Madrid, El Clasico Preview

Friday, November 26th, 2010

It is all eyes on El Clásico this Monday evening as Barcelona faces Real Madrid at Camp Nou with Messi vs Ronaldo as one of the big clashes in the match. They both pay 2.10 to score in the match as José Mourinho hopes to add more misery to Barca after beating them with both Chelsea and Inter earlier in his career.

Barcelona pays 2.10 while Real Madrid is priced at 3.35. Richie Sheridan likes Barca while Jonathan Deeley is up for a draw. What do you reckon?

Sunday fiesta: Liverpool vs Chelsea, Lazio vs Roma, Hibs vs Hearts, Real vs Atletico…

Friday, November 5th, 2010

It is a massive Sunday in the European leagues and Richie Sheridan is ready to cash-in on Chelsea as he sees the odds on them to beat Liverpool at Anfield, 2.10, as a must to bet on in Premier League.

But will it be that easy? Richie thinks so. Check out why here.

Also, Lazio is clashing with AS Roma in Derby della Capitale and the Serie A pace-setters Lazio is priced at a massive 2.60. In Scotland, the Edinburgh derby between Hibernian and Hearts is the big one and Richie is cheering again when he sees 2.50 on Hibs to win.

And hey, we haven´t forgotten about the mighty Madrid derby either with Real Madrid being a banker for many at 1.30 in odds at home to Atletico Madrid.

Pheuw. Prepare for a special Sunday!

Jose Mourinho´s Real Madrid eyes revenge after the dramatic loss at home to AC Milan in the Champions League last season as the two giants clash at Bernabeu on Tuesday evening. Real pays 1.65 in odds and will probably be a popular choice among the punters as well as Marseille at home to Zilina and Bayern München at home to Cluj at 1.30 and 1.25 in odds respectively. But Richie Sheridan eyes some upsets in Ajax-Auxerre and in Spartak Moscow-Chelsea, where The Blues are missing both Drogba and Lampard. Don´t miss the predictions at Inside Expekt!

José Mourinho joins Real Madrid. Is he really that good?

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

José Mourinho joins Real Madrid, and quicker than you san say sangria you see clear signs of some panic in Barcelona on the transfer-market. Fabregas next in. And after that? “Watch out – José is coming to Spain!” Well, is he that good?

Yes, I believe so, he is without doubt the best coach around at this moment looking at his track-record in Porto, Chelsea and Internazionale. And I am sure that Real Madrid will win one of the two titles that counts in Spain next seasaon, the La Liga or Champions League. But the greatest ever? No way, José.

In my own eyes, Italian Arrigo Sacchi is the best modern coach ever, beating Rinus Michels closely, the Dutchman behind Total Football with Cruyff as the key-player in the 70’s. Sacchi started the revolution at Parma that made them a force in Italy and Europe when he, in the middle of the 80’s, took this tiny side from serie C1 to being three points from promotion to serie A, all within a year.

Sacchi’s Parma knocked out AC Milan in the Italian Cup that season and Silvio Berlusconi acted quickly and brought Sacchi to Milan.

Few thought that Berlusconi did anything right in bringing in the unexperienced and attacking-minded coach but he never looked back.

Sacchi led AC Milan to back-to-back European Cup (Champions League) titles in a club side that probably played the most beautiful football ever seen, led by van Basten, Gullit and Rijkaard. It was a new style of attacking football with a defensive midfielder as one of the corner stones.

In many ways, Sacchi brought back the attacking football to Europe. He then took over Italy and led them to the World Cup silver in 2004.

Like Sacchi, Mourinho has no big career behind him as a player. Mourinho is never shy of an answer but if he wants, he can use Sacchi’s classic answer to those who questions him: “A jockey doesn’t have to have been born a horse”.

Who do you think is the best coach in the world?

Jose Real Madrid

Jag såg El Clasico på plats.

Friday, April 9th, 2010
